THE AUSTRALIAN OUTBACK!

This was without a doubt one of the most awe - inspiring vacations I have ever had.

The land, the colors and the magnatude of this country overwhelm you.

These pictures DO NOT do it justice but they have tried. I hope you enjoy them and get a sense of the spectacle that is

The Australian Outback!

To see a picture in a larger size, Simple click it and it will show you in that size. I HIGHLY recommend this in order to see the real colors and details.

I called this tour "The Rainbow Tour of the Australian Outback" because while on the train to the airport there was a light rain and over the ocean was a rainbow. Then at the sunrise at Uluru there was yet another rainbow. Lastly, when flying into Sydney between the first layer of clouds and the second was a HUGE pastel rainbow. I rarely see rainbows so to see three in one week was quite the achievement.

In religious terms the rainbow represents God's promise to his people to not destroy them by flood. I have always seen the rainbow as God's way of reassuring us that we are watched, heard and protected. I certainly felt that way on this tour.

I will let the pictures speak for themselves! ENJOY!

Kata Tjuta - Formally known as "The Olgas"

This was our first real stop on our tour. It was a great first stop! The light, color, and the height were a hint of what was to come.

The sunset over Uluru

These pictures were taken right before it started raining! Yep, raining in the desert

I called this vacation "The Rainbow Tour!" This was the second rainbow and it took us all by surprise! The mist rolled in and it just appeared out of nowhere. However, the mist was only on that side of the mountain and didn't come over it.

The varying colors of Uluru throughout the morning.

These photos are not photoshopped, these are the ACTUAL colors - it was breathtaking watching the colors change. I couldn't stop smiling!

Views from a gas station!

The first picture is Mount Conner. I think it looks like a cake and the picture looks like a watercolor painting. I loved how the colors showed up.

The second picture is the actual gas station
